Christopher, I'm a former lawyer. I actually went to law school with the "illustrious" Senator John Edwards and was a USDJ Antitrust Division attorney for a number of years. I'm baffled by how Romney has conned the U.S. public to the point where he's got a chance (of course, with voter suppression and intimidation) of winning the Presidency. I'll check out your blog. I was a Bankruptcy Restructuring Lawyer in NYC (Weil Gotshal & Manges) and in Boston, MA during Mitt Romney's reign as the King of Bain. I worked withy many turnaround groups, financial services firms and banks representing both creditors and debtors in out of court workouts, restructurings and chapter 11 reorganizations. Mitt Romney has crafted a fictitious legend as a job creator when he is nothing of the sort. What also is worth emphasizing is that some of the harshest critique about the MYTH ROMNEY has come from Republicans and from the right, including about the truth of his career. Mitt Romney has the aura of an International Financial Racketeer, the stench of Bernie Madoff, the swagger of American Psycho Patrick Bateman, the soul of the Invisible Man, the financial precision of Enron's Ken Lay and the candor, style and transparency of Madoff 'beneficiary' Philanthropic Gangster Jeffrey Picower (who was found swimming upside down in his Palm Beach swimming pool after the Feds discovered he took nearly $8 Billion out of the Madoff Ponzi Scheme).
I dunno about this one. Ann's comment was probably well within the realm of a wife being ordinarily concerned about her husband, who is facing a potentially insanely stressful job. There's more than a whiff of the comment being taken out of context. I certainly don't want Willard as President, but, I don't think we need to use his campaign's habit of taking comments out of context, either.
Well if it drives him crazy by losing in November he can just go to the emergency room.
