Republicans are slowly making their selection on who will run against President Obama. Not Mitt Romney, not Mike Huckabee, and not the meek and mild Tim Pawlenty. Republicans have disowned Sarah Palin and are now clinging to the birtherism of Donald Trump.

A new poll from Public Polling has the Donald in the lead with 26%. The closest in second place is Huckabee following with 17% support. The other cast members in this disaster for the GOP are;

  • Romney with 15%
  • Gingrich with 11%
  • Palin with 8%
  • Ron Paul with 5%
  • Pawlenty with 4%
  • Bachmann with 4%

But although that lineup is almost as crazy as can be imagined, what’s crazier is that 23% of the 400 people surveyed said they would not vote for any candidate who acknowledge the truth – that President Obama was born in Hawaii.

Can someone please tell me what happened to education and common sense in this country?
