More lies and mis-information about President Obama, and as usual, the lies and mis-information are being spread by Conservative radio and television hosts and pundits. The most recent lie that these personalities are pushing, has to do with President Obama’s trip to India.
Republican Michele Bachmann.
According to the Conservative punditry, President Obama’s 10 day trip will cost the American Tax payer, $200,000,000.00 a day. Again, that’s two hundred million dollars a day! Multiply that figure by 10 days, and these conservatives are accusing the President of a $2 Billion price tag for a ten day trip.
We don’t expect anything else from these Republican radio and television personalities, but when elected so-called officials are parroting the same lies on national television, then someone had to bring some balance and a thread of reality to the debate. That someone is Anderson Cooper of CNN’s AC360.
Anderson Cooper points out that this story originated in the India press, by an un-named source. A source that no one bothered to fact-check, including the elected official, Congresswoman Michele Bachmann from Minnesota’s 6th district.
The lie, as told by Mrs. Bachmann and all her conservative Republican radio and television liars, states that 34 Navy War ships, along with over 3000 people are travelling with the President. The lie goes on to say, over 500 rooms at a top 5 star hotel in India were rented for the visit.
In an effort to bring truth back to the media, Mr. Cooper has shed a light on the nonsense ofthe Birthers and their claim that President Obama was born in Kenya. Now, Anderson Cooper is taking on the falsehoods being pushed by these Michele Bachmann and her conservative deceivers.
If only the rest of the media could report the facts as is, without “making stuff up!” Wishful thinking….
