With the GOP Chamber of Commerce refusal to disclose where it’s list of donors, and the recent Supreme Court conservative decision that Corporations are “people” and these “people” can donate any amount of money to a political campaign, it’s no wonder this mid-term election is setting records for financial donations and advertisement on television.
On The Job
And the Republican party is just loving it. After all, they’re the ones directly benefiting from the millions of dollars pouring into these campaigns from these Corporations or “people,” both here in The United States and the “people” whose head quarters are abroad.
Makes you wonder if the following is possible:
- Dear China. You can dictate how America is governed. Donate now! Yours truly, GOP’s Chambers of Commerce.
- Dear Al Qaeda. Do you want juice with that Angle? Donate now please. Yours truly, GOP’s Chamber of Commerce.
This decision by the Supreme Court makes it possible for anyone in any country in the world to donate money to a political fundraiser, and thus, exercising their influence on elections in this country. The Chamber’s refusal to disclose their donors further indicate that some of their donors are possibly coming from nations or Corporations or “people,” who may not have America’s best interest at heart.
America’s democracy is for sale, and its being sold to the highest bidder!
