When asked his opinion on what this new Reverend is planning on doing, Rev. Larry Herbert of Faith Covenant Church in Springfieldsaid, said the preacher is a “Nut.” No, he wasn’t talking about the pastor Terry Jones, who plans to mark September 11th by burning Muslim’s holy book, Rev. Larry Herbert was talking about another copy-cat preacher, who was inspired by Pastor Jones and is planning to burn Qur’ans on September 11th also.
This new preacher is Reverend Bob Old of Tennessee. And this nut is taking his burning to a whole new level. He not only want to burn the Muslims holy book, the Reverend will prefer it if all Muslims will just pack up the rest of their Qur’ans and move. He don’t care where they move to, they just can’t be here – in this country, the United States of America. “”If they want to have their religion, they can have it somewhere else,” the nut said.
Reverend Old is not even a real reverend anymore. He used to preach at First Baptist Church in Joelton and Academy Heights Baptist Church in Gallatin, which merged with another church, but he no longer has a congregation and instead runs an evangelical ministry called Disciples of Christ.
When asked to respond to Rev. Old’s plans, Rev. Larry Herbert, who leads a nondenominational congregation of about 140 said, ”The guy is a nut, this is crazy. I am sorry that anyone who names the name of Christ would do this.” Rev. Herbert, in an interview with Tennessee.com goes on to say that no where in the Bible is it justified to burn a Qur’an. He said that this action makes it harder for Christians to reach Muslims to share their faith.
But this will not deter Rev. Old. He plans to burn a Qur’an at his home on September 11th, and put the video online for all to see. Not only is this Reverend an old nut, he’s also a stupid one. Show everyone where you live with your ignorance why don’t ya!
