To the Boiling Point. Brewing a Racial Revolution

“Of course you won’t answer the phone yourself. ‘Cause you’re chicken sh*t, racists n*ggers. The entire black race is nothing but a have not bunch of bums. You can’t work for yourself, all you do is suck off the white man. F*ck you motherf*ckers! F*CK YOU! You want a race war? You got it mothrf*cker! You wanna f*cking kill our babies and kill white people? You gonna… you… the street will run red with blood! The street will run red with your blood!” Here the full audio here.

The streets will run red with your blood!

These are the words of someone who is riled up and ready to go! The words were said on a voice mail message left at the NAACP headquarters after racially motivated statements were made by the New Black Panther. The person heard on the message is talking about the blood of his fellow American citizens that he is personally willing to shed, for no other reason, simply because the color of their skin is different than his.

This is where we now find ourselves as a so-called, civilized society. We are talking about the country that is the land of the Free and home of the brave. We are a country that, over the last 80 years have sent hundreds of thousands of troops overseas to fight and die for freedom, and where there are still thousands of troops fighting now under the guise of security for America and freedom for Middle Eastern citizens. This country, The United States of America has now been brainwashed, downgraded and degraded to this point in our civil discourse, where we are angrily promising to fill the streets with the blood of fellow citizens because of race.

Racism has been the thread that kept this country together. What? Yes, it’s true. America was formed on the backs of slaves and indentured servants. The White House, a staple of American power and government and the very place the nation’s first black president calls home, was built by slaves. Racism is our history, and has been woven deep into the fabric of our land, our culture, and our people. It has been used by some of the lowest criminals as a reason for their hate and it has been used by those in power to control segments of society. It’s been a delicate to keep racism under control. But the small fragment of racist Americans have found the avenue they needed to bring this to the mainstream – through the election of the country’s first black president and the so-called media.

The election of Barack Obama hit a racial mark that is past the political boundaries. At a time when the majority of Americans thought the country was finally coming together, another group of people were coming up with ways to keep it separated. In previous administrations, the arguments would be that of Democrats vs. Republicans, Liberals vs. Conservatives. We would argue about spending and taxes, surpluses and deficits, peace and war. Some of us even went as far as questioning the patriotism of those with opposing views. However, since the first constitutional president in George Washington, racism was never an issue to be argued with true meaning in the political sense, until 2009.

The minority – and this is not a reference to the racial make-up of the country, but rather a reference to those with a racial agenda – have figured out that the usual arguments of past presidents wouldn’t be enough to bring down this president. Here was a president who believes in bringing the country together despite race. In one of his more famous speeches, then Candidate for U.S. Senate in Illinois, Barack Obama, delivered the keynote address at the Democratic National Convention in Boston in 2004 in which he said;

“ It’s what allows us to pursue our individual dreams, yet still come together as a single American family: ‘E pluribus unum,’ out of many, one.

Now even as we speak, there are those who are preparing to divide us, the spin masters and negative ad peddlers who embrace the politics of anything goes.

Well, I say to them tonight, there’s not a liberal America and a conservative America; there’s the United States of America.

There’s not a black America and white America and Latino America and Asian America; there’s the United States of America.”

Racism is their ultimate weapon. It is their divide and conquer mechanism and they are prepared to fabricate and falsify any report or statistic or video to solidify their views in the eyes of their followers.

Andrew Breitbart is just the latest of a long list of conservative who are actively trying to use racism to divide this country. He calls himself a “journalist,” but doctored a video or posted a doctored video showing a few seconds of a 40 minutes speech made by Shirley Sherrod. Mrs. Sherrod, who at the time worked for the US Department of Agriculture, spoke at an NAACP event in March 2010, where she told a story of an incident she encountered some 25 years ago.

Her story detailed her experience working for the Federation of Southern Cooperatives/Land Assistance Fund, when a white farmer came to her for assistance. Her position at the Land Assistance Fund was to point farmers in the right direction to avoid foreclosure on their properties. In the doctored video posted by the “journalist” Andrew Breitbart, Mrs. Sherrod is heard saying that she didn’t give the white couple her full effort. The Breitbart video conveniently left out the rest of the speech where Mrs. Sherrod explained that her initial response to the couple was wrong. She later explained in the same speech that she personally helped the farmer and remained friends with them after saving their farm.

The video was picked up by the ultra right winged conservative cable network, Fox News Network, and broadcasted by all their talking heads including the likes of Bill O’Reilly, Sean Hannity, and Glenn Beck. The doctored video was also posted on Fox’s website and their talking heads publicly called for Shirley Sherrod’s firing. If any of these journalists had invested as little as 10 minutes of fact-checking, they would have seen the decency of Mrs. Shirley Sherrod and the point of her story being that we are all one nation, equally affected by elements such as poverty.

The willful decision by the so-called Journalist Andrew Breitbart and the laughable news network Fox News, to post this video without hesitation or fact-checking had one goal in mind – to divide the nation along racial lines.

Then there is the New Black Panthers with a handful of members, standing on streets corners advocating hate and racism to anyone who would listen. When one of their members spoke about killing white babies, it brought this entire nation to the precipice of the inevitable. The message mentioned at the beginning of this article is only one of many others who shares that very same opinion, that the streets will run red with blood. The objective of this statement by this Panther’s member is nothing less than a racial revolution. The goal is to divide the country along racial lines.

Then there are the usual culprits. The Rush Limbaughs, Glenn Becks, Sean Hannities and others in the conservative media, who uses racism to actively stir the insecurities of Americans. Their message is simple, but effective and has been used before. It’s a message that says “they are coming to kill you and take your stuff”. For these talking heads, the goal is it’s a big pay-check, it’s politics through divide and conquer. For the ones they preach to, the story is different. For them, it’s personal.

It’s personal, as we saw earlier this week with Byron Williams, who got pulled over on the California highway in Oakland for speeding. As police approached his vehicle, they saw Williams putting on a bulletproof vest. A 12 minute shootout then began between Williams and the police, in which two officers received minor injuries and Williams being taken to the hospital for gunshot wounds to his arms and legs. Police found multiple weapons in Williams truck and he confessed to wanting to start a revolution. His target were workers at the American Civil Liberties Union and workers from The Tides Foundation, a progressive leaning organization.

Americans need to wise up and realize that these hateful race-baiting segments of society are in the minority. We need to realize that these racists are only relevant because we allow them to feed the fears we feel about each. Instead of learning about our different cultures, customs and religions, we create laws banning the teachings and understanding of minorities. We print text books for our schools where references to our very history and the contributions of minorities are deleted, in an effort to continue the ignorance on our children, thus, feeding the very racists claims we renounce.

The time is now America. In this atmosphere of hate and racism, the time is now to stand up and say No more! No longer will we sit indolently and watch as the racists’ parasites devour this nation from within. We all have a choice to make. We either tune them out while we create the nation we want for future generations, or we continue allowing them to feed our fears as we speed down the road of destruction known as a racial revolution.
