Sarah Palin, Ron Paul and Rand Paul - three of the great Republican Dopes appeared in friendly territory, The Fox Business Network to proclaim their ideas on a number of issues, from the Teaparty, to deficit, to drugs and whether marijuana should be legalized.
The three, who shares views ranging from Sarah suggesting “death to grandma” if grandma get healthcare, to Ron Paul who criticized Ronald Reagan as a failure and cited high deficits as “exhibit A,” to Rand Paul who wants business owners to be able to discriminate against people for whatever reasons they see fit, be it that individual’s race, their sex or physical or mental ability or disability.
They teamed up on the Fox Network and answered a slew of questions which we’re sure had to be pre approved, even in the friendly environment. And although much have been made about one part of the interview where Sarah Palin calls marijuana a “minimal problem,” there is another statement she made later in the interview that drew my attention.
Judge Andrew Napolitano, the host of the show Freedom Watch asked a leading question to Palin about what argument she would make to “suggest the following. The government has to stop printing money, the government can’t keep putting us in debt, and debt is gonna choke us.”
Palin then went on a rambling escapade that seemed to last forever, but before ending her mind boggling response, she said;
“And I know that I have that social conservative label kinda stamped on my forehead right now, but I’m an independent as so many teaparty Americans are. I’m independent and I’m happily registered within the GOP because I believe the planks in that platform of that party can build, help build best our nation.”
For clarity, an independent is described as one who does not subscribe to any one political party. They may hold centrist views or form opinions on issues not shared by the major political parties. Although some independents may associate with one major party, they usually choose not to stand under it’s label.
This cannot be said about Mrs. Palin, who have sided with the Republican party on every major or minor piece of legislation facing the two parties. She not only subscribe to Republican beliefs, she’s even responsible for some of their talking points.
If Sarah Palin is an independent, I shudder to think what a Right Winged Nut Job is, because last time I checked, that was the perfect description of Sarah Palin.
