President Obama mocks Birthers at Dinner – Video

President Obama was a “regular comedian” at the yesterday’s 2010 White House Correspondent’s Association Dinner. The president was on his game, showing that he’s not only the Commander in Chief, but can easily stand up with the best of them and be the Comedian in Chief as well.

Going on before Jay Leno, the president started off by going after his Vice President, Joe Biden, stating that he wasn’t going to come to the dinner, but Joe Biden changed his mind telling him that this wasn’t no ordinary dinner, this “was a big f*#king meal.”

The president then went on and talk about his appproval ratings, and in so doing, made a jab at the birthers. The president stated;

It’s been quite a year since I’ve spoken here last. Lots of ups, lots of downs except for my approval ratings which have just gone down. But that politics. It doesn’t bother me. Besides I happen to know that my approval ratings are still very high in the country of my birth.

President Obama went on to make fun of the media, saying that like him, they too have lost their star power. He went on to say

People say to me, ‘Mr. President, you’ve helped revived the banking industry. You’ve saved GM and Chrysler, what about the news business?’ And I have to explain, ‘Hey, I’m just the president, I’m not a miracle worker.’”

Jay Leno also got a jab from the president. To what may have drawn the biggest laughter of the night, the president said;

Though I am glad that the only person whose ratings fell more than mine last year is here tonight, good to see you Jay. I’m also glad that I’m speaking fist, because we’ve all seen what happens when someone takes the timeslot after Leno’s.

Goldman Sacs, The Health Care Bill, The Boehner, Michael Steele, John McCain, Sarah Palin and the Jonas Brothers are just some of the other subjects of the President’s monologue.
