The wisdom of Sarah Palin was on full display again, this time taking on The Secretary of Defense, Robert Gates and the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Admiral Mike Mullen.

Mrs Palin, who once equate her national security experience to Russia’s proximity from Alaska by saying, – “it’s very important when you consider even national security issues with Russia as Putin rears his head and comes into the airspace of the United States of America, where, where do they go? It’s Alaska. It’s just right over the border,” – is now questioning the Administration’s national security policies again.

Sarah Palin's puny mind

This time, she’s comparing our national security to school kids!

Sarah Palin was referring to one element of President Obama‘s new policy concerning the use of nuclear weapons on non-nuclear countries. Specifically, if a non-nuclear nation is in compliance with an international nonproliferation treaty, the United States will not threaten to use nuclear weapons against it. The policy went on to say if such a state were to use chemical or biological weapons against the U.S. or its allies, it would face a potentially devastating conventional military strike by the U.S., but not a nuclear one.

In an interview on her FAUX News network, Sarah Palin said;

“It’s unbelievable. Unbelievable!  No administration in America’s history would, I think, ever have considered such a step that we just found out President Obama is supporting today.”

“It’s kind of like getting out there on a playground, a bunch of kids, getting ready to fight, and one of the kids saying, ‘Go ahead, punch me in the face and I’m not going to retaliate. Go ahead and do what you want to with me.’

After the signing of the new START treaty with Russia’s President Dmitry Medvedev, President Obama was asked by ABC News if he had a response to Sarah Palin’s statement. His response?

“I really have no response, because last I checked, Sarah Palin’s not much of an expert on nuclear issues.”

“If the secretary of defense and the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff are comfortable with it, I’m probably going to take my advice from them and not from Sarah Palin.”

Sarah Palin is way over her head on any issue concerning America. If the talking point can’t fit on her palm of her hand, I suggest she refrain from speaking.

Unfortunately, she is the one the main voices that Republicans and Tea Party enthusiast listen to for their talking points. A sad state of affairs!
