Asked by one of his callers about what he’ll do if Health Reform becomes law, Rush replied,
“I don’t know. I’ll just tell you this, if this passes and it’s five years from now and all that stuff gets implemented, I am leaving the country. I’ll go to Costa Rica.”
This statement has become one of the most important reason thus far for getting Health Care Reform legislation signed into law.
But why Costa Rica?
The country has one of the longest running Socialized systems in the world, with everyone being required to pay into a Government run Health Care system. It also has a longer life expectancy than the United States, mainly due to it’s socialized health care system.
Costa Rica provides health care for 87% of it’s population, and gets 25000 Americans traveling there each year for health care.
According to Jorge Cortés, president of the Council for International Promotion of Costa Rica Medicine,
“People travel to Costa Rica (and) receive the same quality of medical services for a fraction of the cost, When people see they can get the same surgery for three or four times less, they decide to get medical care abroad.”
The only question now is, will Costa Rica have enough medicine to cure The Parasite that is Rush Limbaugh?
They have a better system than we do, and according to World Health Organization, they rank higher than the USA too, but in answering this question, I’ll say no and put my money on the parasite to win this one.
