The insanity of Michele Bachmann continued over the weekend, when she publicly told her supporters to engage in Civil Disobedience. She advised her audience that they must avoid paying taxes if the Health Reform bill is signed into law.
Talking at the podium of a rally in Minnesota, Michele said,
“Mark my words, the American people aren’t gonna take this lying down. We aren’t gonna play their game, we’re not gonna pay their taxes. They want us to pay for this? because we don’t have to. We don’t have to. We don’t have to follow a bill that isn’t law. That’s not the American way, and that’s not what we’re going to do. This is dictatorial, what they are doing. we are not compelled to follow a non-law just because Obama and Pelosi tells us we have to.”
As a member of The House of Representatives, we can only hope that Michele Bachmann knows the importance of taxes. We can only hope that she realizes that taxes are not a voluntary payment, but an enforceable contribution, and advising anyone to not pay their taxes carries a monetary penalty and possible jail time.
We can only hope that Michele will be in court testifying on behalf of those who takes her up on this call.
Listening to Mrs. Bachmann, you’ll think taxes were invented by the Obama administration.
